1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Notofy ("we," "our," or "us"), developed by AshCore Labs, handles information when you use our iOS application (the "App").

Notofy is a voice-first productivity app that lets you create reminders, notes, and lists by speaking. All data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers, do not collect personal information, and do not show advertisements.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 No Account Required

Every feature of Notofy is available without creating an account or providing any personal information.

2.2 Voice Recordings

When you record a voice command, the audio is processed in real time to transcribe your speech. Audio recordings are not stored permanently and are not transmitted to our servers. Transcription is handled by Apple's on-device or cloud-based Speech Recognition framework (see Section 5).

2.3 Notes, Reminders & Lists (All Local)

The text content of your notes, reminders, and lists is stored only on your device using encrypted local storage (MMKV). This data never leaves your device unless you choose to sync a reminder to the iOS Calendar app (see Section 2.4).

2.4 Calendar & Reminders Integration (Optional)

If you grant Calendar permission and choose to sync a reminder, the reminder's title, due date, and time are written to your device's local Calendar database via Apple's EventKit framework. This data stays on your device and is subject to your own iCloud sync settings — we do not control or access iCloud.

2.5 Diagnostic Data

Apple and TestFlight may provide anonymized crash reports and usage statistics to us through App Store Connect. This data cannot identify you individually.

2.6 What We Do Not Collect

• No name, email address, or contact information
• No precise or approximate location (GPS is not used)
• No camera or photo library access
• No contacts or files
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• No cross-app or cross-website tracking

3. How We Use Information

Privacy by design: The App is built to work without personal data.

• Voice audio — transcribed in real time to create your note or reminder; not retained.
• Note & reminder content — stored locally to power the App's features; never accessed by us.
• Calendar events — written to the system Calendar on your request; not accessed by us after creation.
• Crash diagnostics — used only to identify and fix technical issues.

We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than making the App work.

Notofy requests the following iOS permissions. Each can be revoked in Settings → Notofy.

5. Third-Party Services

Apple Speech Recognition

Notofy uses Apple's Speech framework to transcribe your voice input. Depending on your device and iOS version, speech processing may occur on-device or may involve Apple's cloud servers. Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Apple EventKit (Calendar)

Calendar sync uses Apple's EventKit framework to write events to the local Calendar database on your device. We do not transmit calendar data to any third party.

No Third-Party AI Services

Notofy does not send your data to any third-party AI service such as OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any other provider. All note parsing and command interpretation is performed entirely on-device using built-in logic.

No Analytics SDKs, No Ad SDKs

Notofy does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. The only diagnostic data we receive is Apple's anonymized App Store crash reports.

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share any user information with third parties.

The only circumstances where limited disclosure may occur:

• Compliance with applicable law or a valid legal process
• Protecting rights, property, or safety of users or others
• Apple-provided anonymized diagnostics (crash logs, usage statistics)

There are no advertising partners. No user data is used for ad targeting.

7. Data Security

Because all user-generated data stays on your device, the primary layer of protection is your device's own security (iOS encryption, Face ID / Touch ID, screen lock).

• Local storage: MMKV — an encrypted key-value store; data is locked to your device.
• No server: We operate no backend server that could be breached.
• No accounts: There are no credentials to steal.
• No retention: Voice audio is discarded immediately after transcription.

8. Your Rights

Because we hold no personal data on our servers, most privacy rights (access, correction, deletion) are exercised directly on your device:

• Delete your data: Delete individual notes/reminders in the App, or uninstall the App to remove all local data.
• Revoke permissions: Go to Settings → Notofy to revoke microphone, speech, calendar, or notifications access at any time.
• Calendar events: Delete synced events directly in the iOS Calendar app.

9. Children's Privacy

Notofy does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). Because the App collects no personal data at all, it poses minimal privacy risk for younger users. Parents or guardians with questions are welcome to contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
